SMI is a creative and innovative contracting company located in Milford, CT, USA serving the engineering, fabrication, and artistic needs of the entertainment industry for over 35 years.

We are a diverse family of over 75 dedicated and experienced artists, engineers, craftspeople, designers, and production professionals.  

We pride ourselves in being laser focused with “on time performance” and attention to detail which guides our daily means and methods of how we do business for our clients.

We have profound experience and astute ability to creatively problem solve. We do this in everything we do in providing automation equipment, millworking, metal fabrication, artwork of all types, and project management for many different types of projects on a worldwide basis.  

No project is too big or too small, too complex or too simple, for us to review, budget, and tackle in our 100,000 square foot design and fabrication facilities in Milford, CT.  Our proximity to major cities like New York City and Boston and major highway, airports, and rail lines makes our location easy and convenient for visiting production and design clients alike.
